Aedes Danielis Palace
Latin for the ‘House of Daniel’, the Aedes Danielis is a palace whose imposing façade welcomes the visitor as soon as they enter Żejtun. Daniel was the Christian name of the nobleman who originally built the summer house that stood in the place of the present palace. Adorning the façade is a statue of the Old Testament Prophet Daniel. The barons of the Bonici and Testaferrata families lived in the palace and worshipped in the adjoining chapel of the Mother of Good Counsel. Nowadays it is still the private residence of this noble family.
