Casa Perellos
Ramon Perellos, the Grand Master best known for the magnificent tapestries he donated to the Church of St John in Valletta, was a frequent visitor to Żejtun. Reasons for these visits included watching the colourful pilgrimage/procession of St Gregory, held yearly from all parts of Malta to Żejtun, on the 12th March (feast day of Pope St Gregory the Great). In order to have a better view of this pageant, Grand Master Perellos built this villa. The pear, an unmistakable item in the coat-of-arms of Perellos, is sculptured on the facade of this edifice.
